CoMO SEPTA Spotlight: shining a light on those who go above and beyond for our students

We have some truly amazing staff working with our students who access special services, and we at CoMO SEPTA feel they deserve recognition for that. If you know of someone that has gone above and beyond for our students, let us know. Shine a spotlight on them using the form at the bottom of this page.

Who can submit a nomination?
Any SEPTA member can let us know of someone who deserves a little extra notice for their hard work. Obviously parents can see the difference that staff make in their students’ lives, but educators can nominate staff as well. After all – you get to see your coworkers in action while you’re at school! If you’re not yet a member of SEPTA but would like to join, head over to our online membership form.

Who can I nominate?
Anyone! Teachers in any setting, therapists, paraprofessionals, administrators, janitors, cafeteria workers, counselors, office staff, bus drivers, etc.. anything goes. We just ask that they be staff who work with our students in Columbia, and that they have gone above and beyond in making those students’ school days – and lives – brighter.

What happens with my submission?
Each month we’ll choose a nominated staff member to be in the spotlight. We will include the month’s “SEPTA Spotlight” selection in a blog post here on the site, and in a mailing sent out to our membership. The nominee will also be automatically entered into our end-of-year SEPTA Awards, in which we choose one person in each category to be recognized at our final meeting of the school year.
